What is it?
The Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (CPF) is 11 digits in the format NNN.NNN.NNN-NN. The 2 last numbers are the result of an arithmetic operation on the 9 previous ones. It is the Brazilian identification number assigned to individuals for tax purposes.
- Identity Card (RG): The CPF may be printed on the document itself.
- CPF Card: A specific document previously issued containing only the CPF number, but it is no longer issued.
- Driver’s License (CNH): The CPF is usually printed along with other driver details.
- Income Tax Returns: The CPF is present in all documents related to income tax.
- Bank Statements: In some cases, banks include the client's CPF in these documents.
